Outgoing Department of National Defense (DND) Secretary
Voltaire Gazmin will formally bid farewell to the officers and enlisted
personnel of the Philippine Army (PA) on Friday.
This will take place at PA headquarters in Fort Bonifacio,
Taguig City, said Army spokesperson Col. Benjamin Hao.
Gazmin is scheduled to step down from his post by June 30.
A brigade-size parading troops from the different post units
and offices of the PA will give Gazmin a testimonial review.
The parade will be held at ROTC Hunters Guerilla Field/HPA
Parade Ground.
Army Chief, Lt. Gen. Eduardo M. Año together with his staff,
other ranking PA officers, enlisted personnel and civilian employees will
attend the event.
Gazmin was the 40th Commanding General of the Philippine
Army. He held the position from July 13, 1999 - October 22, 2000.
