A new set of 144 soldiers of the 6th Infantry
"Kampilan" Division stood with pride during their graduation ceremony
at the 6th Division
Training School in
Barangay Semba, Datu Odin Sinsuat, Maguindanao Thursday.
Capt. Joan Petinglay, speaking for the 6th ID, said the new
soldiers were members of Candidate Soldiers “Hunter" Class 392-2015 that
underwent a rigid Basic Military Training and Jungle Warfare Mountain
Operations Course.
They also underwent training on war fighting competency,
disaster response and rescue operations, explosive ordnance and reconnaissance
agent, water search and rescue, and "pekiti tersia kali," more known
as "arnis."
Among the 144 graduates, Army Private Mokim K. Juljiri
topped the 2016 class and was awarded with Certificate of Merit by 6th ID
Commander Major General Edmundo R. Pangilinan.
As Pangilinan congratulated the new soldiers for completing
the basics Army training course, he lauded the training staff led by Colonel
Bernie Langub for their hardwork and service in ensuring that the new breed
will become outstanding soldiers of the "Kampilan" family.
“Remember that the 6th ID and the entire Central
Mindanao are banking on your capacity to deliver results that will
have impact on the mission of the command,” Pangilinan said.
The new Privates were also immediately deployed after their
graduation rites to their respective unit assignments under 6th ID as regular
members of the Armed Forces of the Philippines .
The "Kampilan" division covers the provinces of
Maguindanao, Sultan Kudarat, North Cotabato
and part of Lanao del Sur.
