ASR gets new commander (Limited bio data)

From the Philippine News Agency (Jan 19): ASR gets new commander

The Army Signal Regiment (ASR), the unit responsible for communications, electronics and information system to all army units nationwide, has a new commanding officer in the person of Col. Adrian D. Sanchez, Jr., on Monday.

The latter is a member of Philippine Military Academy Class of 1986 and a native of Cavite City.

He replaced Col. Arnold F. Andales, who will be reassigned to General Headquarters, Armed Forces of the Philippines.

Philippine Army commander Lt. Gen. Eduardo M. Año presided the change of command ceremony at 2:30 p.m. Monday.

Prior to his appointment to the ASR, Sanchez was the command inspector general of the Communication, Electronics and Information System Service (CEISS), Armed Forces of the Philippines.

He also used to serve as the chief of staff of the Joint Task Force, National Capital Region (JTFNCR) and commanding officer of the Joint CMO Task Force, JTFNCR.

The designation of Sanchez is part of the army's continuing career and leadership development program for its senior officers.

Sanchez is married to Lolita Diaz and blessed with one child, Jeremy Aldrich.
