P50 million allocated for peace and council projects in Negros Occidental

From the Philippine News Agency (Dec 3): P50 million allocated for peace and council projects in Negros Occidental

The Provincial Peace and Order Council of Negros Occidental will receive a P50-million allocation for the implementation of its programs and projects.

The appropriation was approved Wednesday by the Sangguniang Panlalawigan.

The summary of appropriations showed the biggest bulk was allocated to the Provincial Administrator’s Office with P16 million for its intelligence operations, payment of rewards, and miscellaneous expenses in support for its peace and order programs, followed by Provincial Peace Integration and Development Unit with P8.145 million.

Other allocations will go to the 303rd Infantry Brigade of the Philippine Army, which will receive P5 million for its Negros First Army Wellness Program, projects for the youth and other sectors, and security maintenance, and Negros Occidental Police Provincial Office’s anti-criminality campaign, P3 million.

The Provincial Engineer’s Office, Provincial Social Welfare and Development Office, Office of the Provincial Agriculturist, Provincial Veterinary Office will get P2 million each.

Another P2 million will go to the peace and order projects of the University of St. La Salle-Bacolod.

The National Commission for Indigenous People will receive P1.8 million; Provincial Health Office and Technology and Livelihood Development Center, P1.5 million each; Negros Occidental Comprehensive Health Program and Public Information Division, P1 million each; Provincial Environment and Management Office, P600,000; and Negros Occidental Parole and Probation Coordinating Center, P455,000.
