From the Philippine Information Agency (Oct 15): 4ID calls for new soldier applicants

CAMP EVANGELISTA, CAGAYAN DE ORO CITY — The 4th Infantry Division, Philippine Army is now calling all Filipinos, who want to join the noble profession of arms, to apply for Candidate Soldier starting on the 16th day of October 2015 (Friday)  at Headquarters 4th Infantry “Diamond” Division, Camp Evangelista, Patag, Cagayan de Oro City.

The age requirement for the Candidate Soldier (CS) applicants will be lowered from 18 – 26 years old to 18 – 23 years old.

Each applicant shall bring the following: Transcript of Record (original & photocopy), at least two pieces 2x2 ID picture with white background, NSO Birth Certificate (original & photocopy), any Valid ID, and diploma (original & photocopy).

All applicants are also advised to take the Armed Forces of the Philippines Service Aptitude Test (AFPSAT) as one of the requirements for application.

The Headquarters Philippine Army (HPA) will allocate a quota of 200 Candidate Soldiers to 4ID for the next class of Candidate Soldier Course (CSC).

Captain Joe Patrick A Martinez, 4ID Spokesperson said, “I encourage our youth, who are interested to be regular members of the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) to take this opportunity to serve our country. This is a once in a lifetime experience to protect the people and secure the community.”

The tentative date of oath taking for the next CSC will be on June 1, 2016. This will give the applicants ample time to prepare themselves physically and emotionally as this will be their transition from civilian to soldier. (4ID/PA/PIA)
