Three Lumad Datus earlier abducted by members of the rebel
group New People's Army (NPA)were set free Thursday.
This was disclosed by Eastern Mindanao Command head Lt. Gen.
Aurelio Baladad.
However, he could not give details on the area where the
three were freed as this is "very remote" as relayed to him by
operating troops.
The Lumads were abducted by rebel forces last month.
Baladad said the Datus were already reunited with their
families and placed in a secure location for the meantime.
He added more details on the release will be revealed later.
