ROXAS CITY, Capiz  – A two-day Army Transformation Roadmap (ATR) orientation seminar to the members of media from Panay and Negros Islands will be conducted by the 3rd Infantry Division (3ID) of the Philippine Army on Oct. 9 to 10 in Iloilo City.

“The primary purpose of this seminar is to acquaint the media sector with the current initiatives of the Philippine Army in its commitment to pursue genuine transformation founded on good governance,” said 3ID Public Affairs Office (DPAO) chief Maj. Ray Tiongson in a communication to various local media entities in the region.

DPAO has been active in collaborating with journalists and broadcasters to enhance the delivery of information to the public especially on the spearhead troopers’ activities, programs and accomplishments.

The Division has also facilitated fun games dubbed “Amazing Race” at Camp Gen. Macario Peralta, Jr. in Jamindan town among mediamen grouped into teams that were joined by battalion commanders as part of the 3ID’s 41st anniversary celebration.

Various obstacles were set up for the teams which highlighted on a boodle fight among the participants.

It has also facilitated a simple socialization with some members of mediamen last December 2014 that was graced by 3ID commander Maj. Gen. Rey Leonardo Guerrero and other Division officials as well as unit commanders.

The mediamen are the government soldiers dependable and reliable partner particularly in the implementation of Internal Peace and Security Plan, noted Guerrero in his message during last Christmas get-together of 3ID officials and mediamen.
