In line with its efforts to construct better and more
efficient military hospitals, the Armed Forces of the Philippines signed a memorandum of
agreement (MOA) with the Makati Medical Center Foundation Thursday.
The MOA seeks to strengthen the partnership of the AFP and
MMC in the field of human resources through conferences, workshops, training
sessions, coaching and mentoring sessions, learning exchange sessions and
training interventions for all concerned military hospital management staff,
among others.
Both parties are bound to share and exchange knowledge
between their experts and health care workers through these seminars and
training, AFP public affairs office chief Col. Noel Detoyato said.
In the MOA signing at Camp
Aguinaldo , Quezon City , the AFP was represented by its
chief-of-staff, Gen. Hernando DCA Iriberri with Chairman Manuel V. Pangilinan,
signing for MMC.
Detoyato added the MOA is a concrete manifestation of the
Public-Private Partnerships (PPP) for organizational strengthening between the
AFP and MMC.
With the MMC Foundation–AFP PPP, the AFP will receive
assistance from MMC Foundation experts in further enhancing the knowledge and
skills of its military doctors, nurses and health care providers in all its
military hospitals through the organizational strengthening program.
