From the Philippine News Agency (Sep 10): Troopers disarm IED on Maharlika Highway in Sorsogon

Government security forces have successfully disarmed an improvised explosive device (IED) recovered along Maharlika Highway in Sorsogon Wednesday morning.

Civilians discovered the IED at 7 a.m. at the vicinity of Maharlika Highway near Barangay Monbon, Irosin town.

It was successfully disarmed and recovered by Philippine Army and Sorsogon Provincial Police Office bomb disposal experts recovered and disarmed the IED at about 11 a.m.

The green-colored IED has a width of 62 centimeters and a height of 21 centimeters with color orange nylon rope handle; colored white improvised blasting cap; and 200 meters colored black electrical wire.
