Malaysian Minister of Defense Datuk Seri Hishammuddin Tun
Hussein on Tuesday visited the Philippines
Hishammuddin's visit started March 10 and ended on the 11th.
The invitation also cover the Langkawi International
Maritime and Aerospace this March 17 to 21.
Both will be held at Langkawi ,
Malaysia
First convened in 2006, the ADMM serves as a ministerial
level defense consultative and cooperative mechanism in ASEAN.
It aims to promote mutual trust and confidence through
greater understanding of defense and security challenges as well as enhancement
of transparency and openness.
The chairmanship of the ADMM follows the rotation of the
ASEAN Chairmanship, which is currently chaired by Malaysia
Hishammuddin has personally conveyed the invitation to his
other counterparts from Brunei Darussalam, Cambodia ,
Indonesia , Lao People’s Democratic
Republic, Myanmar , Thailand , and Vietnam
