Palace orders probe into Mindanao blasts

From the Philippine News Agency (Sep 17): Palace orders probe into Mindanao blasts

Malacanang on Wednesday ordered the Philippine National Police (PNP) to investigate the series of explosions in Mindanao.

“Ini-investigate po ngayon ng ating kapulisan itong mga pagsabog,” said Presidential Spokesperson Edwin Lacierda in a Palace press briefing.

Lacierda said the PNP will be submitting a report on the possible causes of the incidents to the appropriate authorities.

“So they are there on top of the situation,” he said.

Seven people were injured when a suspected improvised bomb exploded at a plaza in General Santos City on Tuesday night.

Hours after the General Santos blast, a grenade was lobbed at a warehouse in Lamitan City, Basilan but caused no injuries.
