In a bid to familiarize himself to all the officers and enlisted personnel under him, Eastern Mindanao Command chief Major Gen. Aurelio B. Baladad formally paid a visit to the headquarters of the Compostela Valley-based 10th Infantry Division last Sept. 16.

In a report forwarded by Capt. Alberto Caber, Eastern Mindanao Command spokesperson, Thursday morning, Baladad's visit is also part of efforts to assess the implementation of the Internal Peace and Security Plan “Bayanihan”.

Baladad assumed command of the Eastern Mindanao Command only last Sept. 6.

The latter was warmly welcomed by the officers and men of the 10th Infantry Division under Major Gen. Eduardo M. Ano punctuated with a traditional military honors followed by a brief on the current security situation in the Davao Region.

At the end of the briefing, Baladad congratulated the soldiers of the 10th Infantry Division for its efforts and devotion to their duties to win the peace particularly in the affected areas of Compostela Valley Province duly participated in by state agencies and civilian stakeholders.
