CAMP MELCHOR DELA CRUZ, Gamu, Isabela -- A suspected New People’s Army rebel was captured by the Army’s 54th Infantry Battalion soldiers and villagers after a gunbattle in Barangay Damag, Aguinaldo, Ifugao on June 5 at 5:30 in the afternoon, the military said.

Captured was Jonathan Cudal, an alleged communist guerrilla, who was caught while reportedly fleeing from an Army-rebel skirmish.

He was brought to a medical official for checkup and later to the Aguinaldo police for custody.
