Al Israh Wal Mi’raj or the Ascension of Prophet Muhammad (PBUP) to Heaven was celebrated by residents of Northern Sulu on May 29, 2014 at Barangay Lower Patibulan, Municipality of Panamao, Sulu with large numbers of participants  comprising mostly of faculty and students of Ma’had Putlih Munawira Imran Al-Islamie, Lower Patibulan, Panamao, Sulu; LGU Officials, local residents, the women sector; Officers of PAZAMBATASUL; officers and members of the MILF in Sulu.
  
Part of the celebration was a lecture and presentation of salient features of Framework Agreement on the Bangsamoro (FAB), the Comprehensive Agreement on the Bangsamoro (CAB) and the Bangsamoro Basic Law (BBL).

Ustadz Mohammad Nadzmie Imran, Principal of Ma’had Putlih Munawira acted as the Emcee that started with a recital of few verses of the Holy Qur’an by Ustaza Sitti Ruaida Imran Ismi, MPAMIA Administrator. The welcome message was delivered by Mr. Abdulmotalib K. Ismi, Madaris Division Coordinator who expressed his warmest gratitude to all of the participants and guests for attending the day-long program.

The speakers came from the Sajahatra Bangsamoro Sulu-Tawi-Tawi. Aleem Mohammad Alshaid A. Abdulmajid, President of Sulu Council of Imam Guidance & Preaching stressed the importance of Al Israh wal Mi’raj to the Ummah.

Amersab Hji. Naguib M. Sangkula, Chairman, Tarbiya Bangsamoro, Ms. Sabibna J.. Jammang, Chairperson, SWC Committee on Home Economics, and Ustadz Abdulmannan A. Imran of  PAZAMBATASUL also spoke on Mi’raj and some important issues on BBL.

This writer, Information Director of Northern Sulu and BTC Radio Anchor on-the-Air discussed exhaustively the FAB and its annexes, CAB and the Primer on BTC and BBL.

In the afternoon, a reading of Al-Israh wal Mi’raj was made by more or less 50 students of Ma’had Putlih Munawira  Imran Al-Islamie.

The organizers closely coordinated with the municipal mayor and barangay officials for the conduct of the program.

The MILF Provincial Committee on Information plans to conduct more peace advocacies in other parts of Sulu Province.
