From the Philippine News Agency (Oct 23): Trader snatched in Sulu

Security forces are now tracking down the seven heavily-armed men who abducted a trader in Christian Village, Barangay Gandasuli, Patikul, Sulu Tuesday afternoon.

Senior Insp. Kris Conrad Gutierrez, Sulu Provincial Police Office spokesperson, said the abduction took place around 5:00 p.m. He identified the victim as Archie Hablo, 29, owner of the Sincere Enterprises located in Jolo, Sulu.

Investigations indicated that the victim and his brother, Miko, were on their way home riding their motorcycle when the suspects who were on board a black passenger jeepney blocked their path.

The heavily-armed suspects grabbed and dragged the screaming Hablo to the vehicle and quickly made their getaway.

Gutierrez said they are still investigating the incident.
