From the Philippine News Agency (Jun 7): AFP chief mum on meeting with PACOM commander

Armed Forces of the Philippines chief-of-staff Gen. Emmanuel Bautista remains silent on what was discussed during his meeting with Pacific Command (PACOM) commander Adm. Samuel Locklear Friday.

This took place at AFP main headquarters in Camp Aguinaldo.

Also present was Defense Secretary Voltaire Gazmin.

He declined to answer questions on whether the country's ongoing maritime tiff with China over Panatag and Ayungin Shoals were among the topics discussed.

"This meeting is just to get us to know each personally, a media release will be later given," Bautista stressed.
