From the Philippine News Agency (Nov 23): PNP holds counter insurgency
training in Tuguegarao City
About 179 officers of the Police Regional Office (PRO2) eagerly participated in
the opening Friday of the 45 day-rigid and tough training on Special Counter
Insurgency Operations Unit Training (SCOUT) here.
PRO2 regional director Atty. Rodrigo Purisima De Gracia, said the training
will be conducted by the Regional Special Training Unit 2 (RSTU2) personnel who
are equipped and well-trained with the different tactics and strategies in
combat operations.
He told the police officers that the training is one of the toughest and the
most difficult training which teaches every basic detail in Internal Security
Operations (ISO).
