The Consortium of Bangsamoro Civil Society Organizations (CBCS) organized a Forum on Framework Agreement on the Bangsamoro (FAB) held at the Community Training and Resource Center of the Kadtuntaya Foundation, Inc., Cotabato City last October 30, 2012 participated in by some two hundred individuals from Civil Society Organizations and the academe.
In his opening remarks, Guiamil Alim, Chair of the CBCS, said that “the present generation of the Bangsamoro must join hands in synergy to make the Framework Agreement on the Bangsamoro work”. “The next generation will curse us if we make the wrong decisions today,” Alim, also the Executive Director of the Kadtuntaya Foundation, Inc. (KFI), pointed out.“The people in the ground, the farmers, the fisher folks and even the combatants have very high expectations in the signing of the framework agreement. We cannot afford to fail them but at the same time we cannot also give them false hope,” he added. “I look at the FAB as only the proverbial “single step towards a journey of thousand miles,” he said.....
