The province of Northern Samar will receive P184 million from the Office of the Presidential Adviser on the Peace process (OPAPP) for Payapa at Masaganang Pamayanan (Pamana) projects in 2013. This was learned from the Provincial Information Office. Other projects include 2013 Pamana Pillar 2 (Establishing Resilient Communities), where at total of P35.1-million Peace and Development Fund will be allocated to 117 Barangays from 4 municipalities of the province. Each barangay will receive P300,000. The projects will be implemented through the Department of Social Welfare and Development and Kapit-Bisig Laban sa Kahirapan Integrated Delivery of Social Services (Kalahi-CIDSS-Pamana). The four municipalities (and the number of barangays under them) that will be allotted funds are Las Navas (53), Lope de Vega (22), San Roque (16) and Silvino Lubos (26). Last September 19, 2012, the first Pamana road project in Northern Samar was inaugurated.
