AFP: Two US aircraft deliver aid to Davao City

From the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) Facebook Page (Feb 12, 2024): Two US aircraft deliver aid to Davao City

CAMP AGUINALDO, Quezon City--Two C-130 aircraft of the United States Marine Corps delivered to Davao City 4,800 boxes of family food packs of the Department of Social Welfare and Development on February 12.

The goods were delivered in two sorties each and will be vital in providing aid to residents affected by recent flooding and landslides in the Davao and Caraga regions.

A total of 12 sorties were planned for the two aircraft in order to deliver up to 15,000 family food packs in the operation that will last until February 14.

The joint effort highlights the shared commitment of the two countries to humanitarian assistance and disaster relief, as also emphasized in the recently concluded US-PH Maritime Cooperative Activity (MCA).

The AFP and the US Armed Forces are continuously working hand-in-hand to provide efficient support to the troops during the entirety of the said operations.///
