Through the help and information given by an informant, a Joint Intel Operation was immediately conducted by the 24IB,7ID, PA together with the 50IB, 5ID, PA , NICA, PNP Abra and other law enforcement agency at the hinterland of Brgy Tabacda, Tubo, Abra on 07 February 2023.This resulted to the discovery of communists’ terrorist armed cache belong to ROC with 6 hand grenades, 2 upper receivers of M16 rifles, 22 blasting caps and voluminous assorted war materials for IED productions which was then brought to RCP, 24IB, Sitio Barbarit, Brgy Tagodtod, Lagangilang, Abra for proper disposition.
With this recovery, it shows that CPP-NPA-NDF members suffered hardship due to the relentless operations conducted by the units under 501st Bde, 5ID that they cached their arms and had already abandoned the arm struggles. This also manifest that the people/masses no longer support the communist terrorist and has regained trust in the government.
