Arakan, Cotabato - Twenty-Four (24) Former Rebels under 72nd Infantry (GABAY) Battalion received their Financial Assistance under the Enhanced Comprehensive Local Integration Program (E-CLIP) at Covered Court, Headquarters 403rd Infantry (PEACEMAKER) Brigade, Malaybalay City, Bukidnon on July 4, 2023.
The government launched the E-CLIP to assist the former members of Communist Terrorist Groups (CTGs) as they surrendered to the folds of the law and reinstate their allegiance to the republic. They were reintegrated back into their respective communities and provided with sustainable livelihood projects through the E-CLIP.
Honorable Rogelio P Roque, Provincial Governor of Bukidnon expressed his gratitude to the people behind the speedy distribution of financial support to the beneficiaries. He further reminded the latter of the money that they received and quote "the assistance given to you is not from us alone, it came from all of the Filipino People who want you to go back to the folds of law and live a happy life together with your family."
In response, FR Gergie Liponhay, articulated his utmost gratitude to the support that the government has provided for them. He also reminded his fellow beneficiaries to utilize their money wisely because it is a rare opportunity that they were given assistance for livelihood.
The 72nd Infantry (GABAY) Battalion extended its appreciation to the Provincial of Bukidnon for its unwavering support in the continuous journey to achieve an insurgency- free community. The unit assured that FRs under its jurisdiction will be taken care and provided with guidance on its way to mainstream society.
