CAMP SIONGCO, Awang, DOS, Maguindanao del Norte – Panibagong tatlong mga kasapi ng communist terrorist group ang sumuko sa tropa ng 37th Infantry (Conqueror) Battalion ng 6th Infantry (Kampilan) Division sa Brgy Tibpuan, Lebak, Sultan Kudarat, nitong Biyernes (February 10, 2023).

Ayon kay Lt. Col. John Paul Baldomar, Commanding Officer ng 37IB ang tatlong mga sumuko ay may mga alyas na Patrick na kasapi ng Platoon Madrid; alyas Toto ng Platoon Baghdad at alyas Jay-Ar ng Platoon Beijing lahat ay sailalim ng Sub-Regional Command (SRC)-Daguma mula sa nauubos at pagwawasak na Far South Mindanao Region.

“Based on the initial revelation of the surrenderees, they decided to surrender because of the hardships and pressure brought about by the continuous conduct of Focused Military Operations in the area and lack of moral/financial support from the leadership of FSMR”, pahayag ni Lt. Col. Baldomar.
Isinuko din ng tatlo ang kanilang mga bitbit na armas na kinabibilangan ng isang 5.56mm Colt M16A1 rifle, isang Cal .45 Pistol at isang 12 Gauge Shotgun.

Malaki naman ang paniniwala ni Brigadier General Michael A Santos, ang Commander ng 603rd Brigade na biktima lamang ang mga ito ng maling ideolohiya na lumason sa kaisipan ng mga residente ng Sultan Kudarat.

“These three CTGs, who are victims of deception, are discerning and able to identify the truth from the lies because they have awakened and discovered that the NPAs’ philosophies are founded solely on deceit and are utilized solely to serve the NPAs’ own vested interests”, wika pa ni Brig. Gen. Santos.

Sa kabila nito ay patuloy naman ang panawagan ni Major General Alex S Rillera, Commander ng 6ID at Joint Task Force Central sa mga natitira pang kasapi ng CTG na magbalik-loob na sa pamahalaan. “Kailan man ay ‘di mananaig ang kasamaan laban sa kabutihan, kaya nais kung tuldukan na ang armadong pag-aalsa at makiisa tayo sa panawagang pagkakaisa ng ating pamahalaan”, mahinahong pagpapaliwanag ng Division Commander ng 6ID.

Sa datos na inilabas ng JTFC sa taong ito, nasa 11 mga CTG na ang nagbalik-loob sa pamahalaan mula nakaraang buwan hanggang sa kasalukuyan.
