Deceived by the fraudalent recruitment of CTGs, NPA member surrenders and yields IED to Gabay Troopers
ARAKAN, COTABATO - A former NPA member of Guerilla Front 53 under @JOEL named as @Dodong voluntary surrendered one(1) CDX IED weighing 7 kilos on December 12, 2021 at Headquaters 72IB, Sitio Guitawan, Arakan, North Cotabato.
The surrender of @DODONG was neutralized and facilitated through the efforts of Mr Pedro Arnado, former KMP-SMR CHAIRMAN and Intel Platoon, 72IB under the supervision and guidance of its Battalion Commander, LTC Jose C Regonay Jr. Based on his revelation, the said IED was given to him for the purpose of conducting ambush to the government forces as his primary task especially during the time of 57IB.
@Dodong, 40 years of age, resident of Sitio Kikobang, Brgy Datu Mantangkil, Arakan, North Cotabato was a former member of GF53, SRC3, SMRC and Team Leader, SYP, GF53 under the leadership of @Jecko and @Choi way back 2015. He realized that his commitment in joining and supporting the wrong ideologies the Communist Terrorist Groups (CTGs) has never brought him any help thus, only threats to his life and his family. These realizations led him to completely denounce the false ideologies and principles of the communist groups, surrender the IED and choose to live peacefully with only the real government to serve.
LTC Jose C Regonay Jr strongly urged other former rebels who were once fooled by the CTGs, now serving the government and considered as one of the peace advocates of our nation to convince those who are still on the mountainside to peacefully surrender their arms to the folds of the real government.
“We will never get tired to reach out to everyone who are still fighting for their wrong ideologies. Now is the time to think for your families. Now is the time to peacefully surrender and start a new life. Now is the time to witness and experience the oeace initiative of our Government thru ECLIP. Now is the time for everyone of us to be as one in achieving our ultimate goal; that is to have a just and lasting peace.” He said.
