Camp Navarro, Calarian, Zamboanga City – October 19, 2021
Major General Eugenio Hernandez, the Deputy Chief of Staff for Reservist and Retiree Affairs, J9 visited the Western Mindanao Command on Monday morning, October 18, 2021, purposely to pay a courtesy call on the unified command chief.
In his arrival, Major General Hernandez was welcomed with Foyer Honors rendered by the officers and personnel of the command led by Brigadier General Antonio Nafarrete, WestMinCom’s Deputy Commander for Administration. He was then received by WestMinCom Commander, Major General Alfredo Rosario, Jr., and the Command Staff at the Laong Laan Hall of the command.
During their conversation, Major General Rosario, Jr. expressed his gratitude to Major General Hernandez for taking the time to visit the command and for extending his assistance to the newly established Office of the Assistant Chief of Unified Command Staff for Reservists and Retiree Affairs, U9 of the command. Major General Hernandez on the other hand thanked the WestMinCom Commander for the warm welcome. He also vowed for continued support to the command in addressing the concerns of the reserve and retired troops.
Major General Hernandez is a proud member of the Philippine Military Academy “Makatao” Class of 1989. He assumed as the Chief of the Office of the Deputy Chief of Staff for Reservist and Retiree Affairs, J9, AFP in November 2020.
The visit was conducted following existing health protocols to avoid the spread of the COVID-19 virus.
