In a bid to continuously educate its officers and members with knowledge on Islam, the Women Affairs Committee (WAC) of United Youth for Peace and Development (UNYPAD) North Cotabato Cluster II (NCCII) conducted the two-day Islamic Leadership and Management training on August 21-22, 2021 at Datu Alimot Elementary School, Barangay Galakit, Pagalungan.

Around 25 selected participants coming from different chapters including their chairwomen joined in the activity.

UNYPAD NCCII Chairwoman, Nida P. Makatabang, said the activity was designed to develop the knowledge and skills of Bangsamoro Women.

“This Islamic leadership and Management training will build them to become more potential members and officers and responsible Bangasamoro leaders,” she said.

Present in the activity was UNYPAD National President Dr. Rahib L. Kudto who discussed Islamic Leadership and Organizational Management.

He said, "You are all leaders because you are women bringing lights and guidance to your home and that is indeed leadership. What we are just doing here is to expand your understanding and implementation of the leadership that must be based on Islamic ways.”

Anisa Matula, UNYPAD Vice-Chairperson for External Affairs of WAC-NCCII, explained and discussed some concepts on Islamic leadership and she facilitated some workshops.

Atty. Badrodin Mangindra, Legal Counsel of UNYPAD, said, "The real empowerment of a woman is always in their home.”

“A woman is really loved and respected by her children because she is doing her responsibility -- to protect and guide her offspring towards good deeds,” he explained.

UNYPAD National chairwoman, Baisanie Makabuat, UNYPAD Secretary General Yusoph Lumambas, UNYPAD Deputy Secretary for Administration Datuan Magon, UNYPAD national staff on Campaign and Advocacy Tho Bin Abdullah and other UNYPAD national officers were present to supervise the training and impart their messages.
