NORTHERN SAMAR- A group of fully armed CNTs intercepted and executed two (2) unarmed CAFGU Active Auxiliaries (CAAs) wearing civilian clothes along the road within the vicinity of KM10, Brgy Happy Valley, Northern Samar at around 2:00 o’clock in the afternoon yesterday, August 21, 2021.

The victims were identified as CAA Lito A Dauba, 39 years old, married and a resident of Brgy San Juan and CAA Arcito C Reyes 46 years old, married and a resident of Brgy Salvacion both of San Isidro, Northern Samar. The said CAAs were travelling onboard their motorcycles to report for duty to augment the Community Support Program (CSP) Team who were engaged in social works for the communities along KM15, Brgy Happy Valley, when they were intercepted and mercilessly executed by fully-armed terrorists who shot them at close range using high-powered firearms.

There would be no doubt that CNT members belonging to Front Committee 2, Sub-Regional Committee EMPORIUM, EVRPC, whose group were frequently monitored terrorizing and extorting from the people in the areas of San Isidro and Calbayog City perpetrated this senseless killing.

Lieutenant Colonel Degay, the Commanding Officer of 43IB, joins the people of San Isidro and Calbayog City in condemning this brutal killing of the two (2) CAAs by the said Communist Terrorist Group. “Consistently, the CNTs had always displayed their true colors through senseless acts.

Blinded by the indoctrination of their CADREs, CNT members primarily employ terroristic acts to ensure the obedience of people in the communities and then rely on propaganda to justify their actions.

As 43IB re-assures the people of San Isidro and Calbayog City of their security and safety, we condole with the families and loved ones of the victims of these cold-blooded murders by the CNTs. We would again extend our gratitude to those who are continuously reporting the location of these terrorists so that justice will be served the soonest,” Lieutenant Colonel Degay continued.
