Camp Siongco, Maguindanao – The 6th Infantry (Kampilan) Division celebrated the 124th Founding Anniversary of the Philippine Army on Monday, March 22, 2021, through the conduct of a simultaneous flag-raising ceremony inside Headquarters of 6ID, Camp Siongco, Awang, DOS, Maguindanao. Brigadier General Jose H. Narciso, Assistant Division Commander of 6ID, read the message of Lieutenant General Jose C. Faustino Jr., Commanding General of the Philippine Army, while Senior Master Sergeant Lyfrey H. Bascar, Division Sergeant Major, led the Reaffirmation of the Oath of Allegiance.

This year’s commemoration embodies the core values towards the country’s peace and progress while braving the challenges of natural and man-made disasters to include terrorism and the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. “Kahit na marami ang pinagdadaanang pagsubok ng ating bansa ngayon, sana ay manatili tayong matatag sa pagtupad ng ating sinumpaang tungkulin – ito ay ang pagsilbihan at protektahan ang ating bansa kahit ang kapalit nito ay ang ating sariling buhay”, Brig. Gen. Narciso said quoting the message of Lt. Gen. Faustino.

Brig. Gen. Narciso reiterated the commitment of 6ID troopers as part of one TEAM ARMY in achieving the vision of becoming a world-class Army that is a source of national pride by 2028. “The gallant men and women of “Kampilan” Division will remain steadfast in our love for God, duties for country, service for people”, emphasized Brig. Gen. Narciso.
