TARLAC CITY, March 8 (PIA) -- About seven former rebels received a total of PhP 405,000 financial assistance under the Enhanced Comprehensive Local Integration Program (E-CLIP) of the government. In the recently concluded awarding ceremony, Governor Susan Yap urged the former rebels to maximize the financial aid in starting anew in the mainstream society.
“You can criticize the government but there’s no reason to raise arms because that would mean a different story. You can be critical as it help us know where the government is lacking but there is no need to harm each other. As Filipinos, we should always unite and help one another,” she stressed.

For his part, 3rd Mech Commander Lieutenant Colonel Eugene Henry Cabusao encouraged the E-CLIP beneficiaries to take advantage of the cash grant and the second chance given to them by the government in their new life.
