Maco, Davao De Oro – HON. NICKY OPISAN, Board Member of Davao De Oro representative of HON GOV JAYVEE TYRON L UY, Provincial Governor, Davao De Oro together with MAJ LARRY C PANCHO, Bde Ex-O representative of BGEN LUIS REX D BERGANTE, 1001st Brigade Commander spearheaded the opening ceremony of the 4th Batch of the De-Radicalization Program for Nineteen (19) Former Rebels coming from the dismantled Weakened Guerilla Front 33 on February 5, 2021 @ 0900h at BALAI PAG-ASA, Brgy Mapaang, Maco, Davao De Oro.

The month long Deradicalization Program was planned and initiated by the 1001st (Pag-Asa) Brigade in coordination with the Provincial Government of Davao De Oro . The program phase aims to transform the ideological mindset of the FRs from the wrong ideologies and erroneous acts of their former organization and to help them go back to the mainstream of society. They will be geared with proper understanding of what the government has been doing, its aspirations and programs designed to benefit its people.

BGen Bergante represented by Maj Pancho welcomed the participants and thanked the Provincial Government of Davao de Oro led by Hon Gov Jayvee Tyron L Uy for fully supporting the program as part of the OPLAN PAGBABAGO.

Hon. Nicky Opisan, Board Member of Davao De Oro served as the Guest of Honor and Speaker congratulates the former rebels for their trust that only the goverment can give them a hope to live in peace with their family and loveones.

In his closing statement he said ” Unsa man inyong gibati? Kalipay kay aduna natay kalinaw, sa una naay kahadlok og kalisud, our governor strictly on the delivery on peace, Kinahanglan makab-ot nato ang kalinaw dile lang sa lugar kun dili sa pamilya because nag too atung governor ang pag mugna sa maaung kumunidad naga basi dha sa atung pamilya, naa moy mga bata kauban og ang atong ginatan aw diha is the future of your children. Ang gobyerno grabe ka seryoso sa programa all we want is your help kay kana inyong mga anak dako kaayo nag makab-ot sa kinabuhi og kung kamo nabutang sauna sa alangin, please ang inyong mga anak ayaw ibutang sa alanganin karun, himoe ninyo sila og direksyon nga makita nato sila maging produktibo sa sunod na henerasyon” he said.
