CLAVERIA, Misamis Oriental, Feb. 8 - The 58th Dimalulupig Infantry Battalion held a meeting with Propelling Our Inherited Nation Through our Youth, Inc. (POINTY) Misamis Oriental at Balingoan, Misamis Oriental, February 6, to plan progams and activities for the youth of Misamis Oriental for the year 2021.
The agenda of the meeting include reporting of the accomplishments obtained by Pointy in partnership with the Philippine Army for the year 2020, and planning of progams and activities for the youth of Misamis Oriental for the year 2021.
Activities planned are primarily geared to prevent Communist Terrorist Group's (CTG) youth recruitment in the province of Mis Or, such as Indigenous People Youth Leadership Summit (IP-YLS), Provincial Youth Leadership Summit, and Youth Peace Dialogues in the different municipalities of Misamis Oriental.
POINTY is a youth-lead organization dedicated to mold and develop holistic and humanistic leaders of the Northern central Mindanao, and all of Philippines.
POINTY aims to support the Philippine Army, the Local Government Units (LGU) and the Line Government Agencies (LGA) in facilitating Youth Leadership Summits; to support the Government in foiling the deception being done by the threat groups; and to be peace builders and catalysts for development.
