Posted to the Kalinaw News (Oct 23, 2020): Commander, 3ID visits the home of the Lapu-Lapu Troopers
SIATON, Negros Oriental – Major General Eric C Vinoya, Commanding Officer of 3rd Infantry (Spearhead) Division, Philippine Army, together with his staff officers, visited the 11th Infantry (Lapu-Lapu) Battalion at Barangay Salag, Siaton, Negros Oriental yesterday, October 22, 2020 (Thursday).
In his visit, he commended the 11IB headed by Lieutenant Colonel Ramir J Redosendo for their accomplishments and personally congratulate the unit for being adjudged as the 3ID’s “Best Infantry Battalion for 3rd Quarter CY 2020”.
MGen Vinoya personally awarded Military Merit Medals with Bronze Spearhead Device to deserving personnel who contributed indispensable services to the attainment of the 3ID’s mission.
“To the Lapu-Lapu troopers, let us continue protecting the Negros Oriental community against the Communist Terrorist Groups (CTGs) and sustain our efforts against the COVID-19 Pandemic,” said Major General Eric Vinoya in his Talk to Troops.
Also present during Commander 3ID’s unit visit is Colonel Leonardo Peña, newly installed Commander of 302nd infantry (Achiever) Brigade.
