BALER, Aurora-Five Community Support Program (CSP) teams under the Army’s Community Support Program have been deployed in the different barangays in the town of San Luis, Aurora on Monday (October 12, 2020)

A send-off ceremony for the CSP teams of the Army’s 91st Infantry (Sinagtala) Battalion, 7th Infantry (Kaugnay) Division held at the Municipal Hall of San Luis, Aurora, signaled the start of the deployment of teams.

The ceremony was led by LTC REANDREW P RUBIO INF (GSC) PA, Commanding Officer of 91st IB, San Luis town Mayor Ariel de Jesus together with 1LT CANDIDATO S PADUMAN (INF) PA CMO Officer 91IB and 1LT CARLO OMAYON (SC) PA, Charlie Company Commander.

The five (5) CSP team is set to be deployed to five barangays of Diteki, El Pimentel, Ditumabo, Dikapinisan and Dimanayat.

It was also attended by PNP, BFP, Sangguniang Bayan Members, Barangay Officials and Barangay Captains of five barangays, Municipal Officials and employees.

The deployment of the CSP teams is in line with the Development Support and Security Plan “Kapayapaan” of the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) to conduct development support operations; sustain peace efforts; ensure security; and help maintain public order to foster the foundation for economic and human development.

“The deployment of CSP teams to five (5) Brgys in San Luis, Aurora will basically contribute to peace and development efforts in the area. Said teams will also act as the bridge between the government and the community in identifying different issues and facilitate the resolution of same in collaboration and partnership with LGU and National Government Agencies. The deployment of CSP teams will somehow affects the recovery and logistical works of the NPAs in the area,” LTC RUBIO said.

CSP aims to help the local government in addressing the peace and security concerns of the communities and to deliver basic government services especially in the far flung and conflict-affected areas. It also aims to bring the government closer to the people.
