Posted to Kalinaw News (Aug 6, 2020): Philippine Coconut Authority provided 60,000 coconut seedlings for barangay in Columbio, Sultan Kudarat.

Makilala, Cotabato – The Philippine Coconut Authority(PCA) provided 60,000 coconut seedlings for local residents of barangay Datal Blao, Columbio,Sultan Kudarat today August 5, 2020.

As the nation struggles in battling the COVID-19 pandemic, both national and local government units come up with systematic ways to help the community to slowly recover its economic status down to the barangay level.

Through the partnership of the PCA, Local Government Units of Columbio headed by Mayor Edwin Bermudez, Councilor Datu Jahir Mamalinta, Barangay Officials, 39th Infantry Battalion and PNP, 60,000 coconut seedlings were successfully distributed to benefit the Muslim and Blaan tribes of barangay Datal Blao.

Local residents expressed their heartfelt gratitude towards the PCA, Local Government Units of Columbio, PNP and the Philippine Army.
