CAMP GERONA, MURCIA, NEGROS OCCIDENTAL – Colonel Inocencio Pasaporte, 303rd Infantry Brigade Commander and the Co-Chairman of the Provincial Task Force on Ending Local Communist Armed Conflict (PTF-ELCAC) Peace, Law Enforcement and Development Support (PLEDS) attended the Cluster Meeting with Police Colonel Romy I Palgue, Provincial Director of Negros Occidental Police Provincial Office together with other Provincial PLEDS Cluster members at NOCPPO, Camp Montelibano, Brgy Estefania, Bacolod City earlier today July 24, 2020 (Friday).
Representatives from the Department of Interior and Local Government, National Bureau of Investigation, National Commission on Indigenous People, Philippine Coast Guard, Public Information Agency, Legal Officer, Provincial Staff and Force Commanders of the 1st and 2nd Negros Occidental Police Mobile Force Company (NOCPMFC) were also present during the PTF ELCAC PLEDS Cluster Meeting.

The activity aims to synchronize the efforts of all agencies in facilitating and addressing the primary issues of the communities that were exploited by the communist terrorist NPA. The said meeting highlighted the updates on Anti-Terror Law, Review of EO 70, Retooled Community Support Program (RCSP) and other matters.

Colonel Pasaporte vowed in a statement, “The Army in Negros will strongly support the PTF-ELCAC in its efforts to achieve lasting peace and end insurgency in Negros. PLEDS Cluster will continue to strengthen each member and agency to attain the objectives of the PTF-ELCAC. We will assist in the implementation of the Retooled Community Support Programs (RCSP) of the local government units in the area,” He added.
