In a meeting in Maguindanao at 1pm on May 25, 2020, local officials and military officers tackled about the security issues that need to be addressed the soonest.
The assemby came following the explosion incident in Barangay Kitango, Datu Saudi Ampatuan at 4:20 p.m., May 24, 2020 that killed two innocent civilians and wounding a number of others.
Said meeting was held at the 601st Infantry Brigade headquarters located in Shariff Aguak which was presided by Western Mindanao Command chief, Lt. Gen. Cirilito Sobejana. I attendance were Datu Saudi Ampatuan Mayor Resty Sindatok, BARMM Interior and Local Government Minister Atty. Naguib Sinarimbo, Joint Task Force Central commander Maj. Gen. Diosdado Carreon, 1st Mechanized Brigade Commander, BGen Efren Baluyot, 601IBde Officer In-Charge Col. Joel Mamon, and other military officers.
The said Local officials and military officers agreed to conduct of an honest and parallel investigation to ensure transparency.
Lt. Gen. Sobejana vowed to support the local government and other stakeholders for the immediate resolution of the case.
"We will let the Bayanihan spirit work to give justice to the victims and ensure protection of the people from harm," said Lt. Gen. Sobejana.
