CAGAYAN DE ORO CITY, Jan. 16 (PIA) --Towards continuing efforts in finally ending local communist armed conflict in the country, Department of the Interior and Local Government-Region 10 maps out its Lines of Effort (LoE) plans for FY 2020 on January 8.

Said activity committed the involvement and support of the Department in ensuring that Executive Order No. 70 or the “Whole-of-Nation” approach in attaining inclusive and sustainable peace is operationalized in Region 10.

“This year, we need to work collectively and that is why we are all here in this meeting. Your capabilities are highly needed to ensure our deliverables are attended promptly and accordingly,” said DILG 10 Assistant Regional Director Yvette Tolentino Sunga.

Out of the 12 Lines of Effort, five (5) are led by DILG, namely: (1) Local Government Empowerment, (2) Sectoral Unification, Capacity Building, Empowerment, and Mobilization, (3) Basic Services, (4) Localized Peace Engagement, and (5) E-CLIP and Amnesty Program.

With this, focal persons for each LoE in DILG 10 were identified. They shall be the ones to convene its members from other regional agencies to discuss relevant reports and updates. Other focal persons were tasked to represent the Regional Office for the rest of the cluster conferences.

Also tackled during the activity were DILG MC 2019-125 or the Guidelines for the LGUs in the Implementation of EO 70 and DILG MC 2019 – 169 or the Guidelines on the implementation of the Retooled Community Support Program (RCSP).

The Implementation Plans (ImPlans) of the LoEs were also presented for information and reference.
