CAMP SIONGCO, Maguindanao – Troops of 57th Infantry Battalion recovered an improvised explosive device and a grenade launcher while conducting security patrol on Wednesday evening, November 20, 2019 at Brgy Buayan, Datu Piang, Maguindanao.
Along with the firearm was cartridge,40mm,high explosive ammunition.
The IED and firearm were discovered near the Barangay Hall of Buayan situated along the national road.
“The discovery of these war materiel is part of the campaign of the government against loose firearms. The JTFC will never cease to implement the law in the JTFC AO.” said Maj. Gen. Diosdado C. Carreon, Commander of JTF Central and 6th Infantry Division.
