Military troops disrupted last night an improvised explosive device found in an explosion site in Datu Anggal Midtimbang, Maguindanao.

Responding troops from 31st Explosive Ordnance Disposal Team contained at 10:30pm yesterday said improvised explosive found in the area of explosion in Barangay Poblacion along Tacurong-Cotabato City Main Supply Route.

Earlier, soldiers from 90th Infantry Battalion reported that an IED exploded in Barangay Poblacion at 7:25pm yesterday, August 19.

Military forces immediately requested an EOD team, which discovered and disrupted the second improvised explosive.

“The prompt response of our ground forces led to the successful disruption of said improvised explosive. Proactive measures will be made to thwart any terror ploys of lawless groups in the area,” said Lt. Gen. Cirilito Sobejana, commander of Western Mindanao Command.
