ONGAO TAWI-TAWI -- Professor Abdulla A. Ahang, Member of Parliament of the Bangsamoro Transition Authority (BTA) provided updates to his constituents Wednesday on the status of BARMM, and issues related to Decommissioning of Combatants of the Moro Islamic Liberation Front (MILF).
Members of Bangsamoro Islamic Armed Forces (BIAF) in Tawi-Tawi are among the beneficiaries of the decommissioning process that will start September7 who can avail the socio-economic package from the national government.
The activity was attended by Community Leaders, sectorial representatives and officers from the provincial political Committee of the MILF, and heads of its line agencies as well as officers of United Bangsamoro Justice Parties (UBJP-Tawi-Tawi chapter.
MP Ahang, also the Provincial Chairman of Sama Province and UBJP Provincial Head made an appeal to his constituents to be more patient and supportive to BARMM Governance who had just started five months ago, and assured that the province and its constituents will reap the benefits of peace and development in the autonomous region.
In the open forum, MP Ahang interacted with his fellow Tawi-Tawian leaders tackling vital issues and concerns of the province and other related issues on BARMM. The candidates for decommissioning of Combatants were also properly oriented for the forthcoming of decommissioning program.
The program was held at Almary Beach Resort, Barangay Pahut, Bongao Tawi-Tawi. The program was organized by Mr. Radzhadin Ahang, UBJP Youth sector leader and facilitated by Mr. Saliakram M. Adduh, another youth leader and peace advocates along with political committee members, and UBJP Officers in Tawi-Tawi.
