NORTH COTABATO, Philippines — Two members of the Moro Islamic Liberation Front were killed in an ambush in Carmen town in this province on Tuesday.
Nuska Alamansa, 32, and Nasser Tambilangan Ampatuan, 34, both residents of Barangay Pisan in Kabacan, died at the scene, Lt. Col. Aldrin Gonzalez, Soccsksargen police spokesman, said.
Gonzalez said the victims were riding a motorcycle when unidentified men flagged them down in Barangay Kibuyao and opened fire.
Probers have yet to determine the identities and motives of the assailants.
