WESTMINCOM: Peace covenant signing held in Maguindanao

The 601st Infantry (Unifier) Brigade through the 40th Infantry Battalion in partnership with the Philippine National Police, Commission on Election (COMELEC), and the Local Government Units of Mamasapano and Sultan sa Barongis all of Maguindanao, initiated the signing of Peace Covenant of all political candidates on April 17, 2019.



The events held in Mamasapano Gymnasium and Sultan sa Barongis Gymnasium respectively, aimed at achieving a clean, honest and peaceful 2019 midterm election.



Said activities were also attended and witnessed by Colonel Joel Y. Abregana, Deputy Brigade Commander of 601st Brigade; Lieutenant Colonel Rogelio S. Gabi, Commanding Officer, 40IB; 1st Lieutenant Paul Jerome G. Pagaran, CMO Officer; 1st Lieutenant Kirk Manehero, Commanding Officer Bravo Company, 40IB; Attorney Ernie F. Palanan, Provincial Election Supervisor-Maguindanao; and Ms. Bai Maceda L. Abo, Election Officer, Mamasapano.



“The Western Mindanao Command through its Joint Task Forces continuously supports all government-initiated activities in preparation for the upcoming 2019 midterm election,” said Lieutenant General Arnel B. Dela Vega.
