CAMP JAIME N FERRER SR., Barangay Maharlika, Bislig City (DWDD) – Ten (10) members of Militia ng Bayan, GF14 surrendered with seven (7) firearms to the CST (Community Support Team) of Bravo Company of 75th Infantry “Marauder” Battalion, 4ID, PA under the supervision of LTC Jaime R Datuin INF (GSC) PA, Commanding Officer at Sitio Cosep, Brgy Bayugan 3, Rosario, Agusan del Sur last October 08, 2018.

 
The surrenderees were identified as Rene Boy Tiin AKA ( Also Known As) Erose/ Cale, Gabriel Pau-as AKA Nanan, Jovanie Dacuycuy AKA Lito, Pedrito Tagliyong AKA Rafy, Edgar G Laspeñas AKA Roger, Rogelio Marbibi AKA Dohi and Dante Vosotros AKA Jerry, Richard Ortega AKA Joboy, Marialyn Pagaran AKA Melka and Roger Tawide AKA Cocoy, all residents of Sitio Cosep, Brgy Bayugan 3, Rosario, Agusan del Sur.They turned over seven (7) high powered firearms to wit: one (1) Cal 45 and one (1) magazine with eight (8) rounds ammunition; one (1) Improvised Cal 45; one (1) Cal 357 with five (5) rounds ammunition; one (1) US Cal 22 Rifle with four (4) rounds ammunition and three (3) Improvised Shotgun with five (5) rounds ammunition.

“I am thankful that more and more NPAs are laying down their firearms and ultimately decided to return to our government.” LTC Datuin, the Commanding Officer of 75IB said, “Tinatawagan ko ng pansin ang mga natitirang kapatid natin sa kabundukan, kayo po ay binibigyan ng pagkakataong sumuko na rin upang mamuhay ng tahimik kasama ang inyong mga pamilya. Ang 75thIB ay laging handa at bukas palad na tumulong upang kayo’y makapagsimula ng mapayapa at panibagong buhay na may takot sa Diyos, may totoong pagmamahal sa bayan at may mataas na pag-gaalang sa bandila ng Pilipinas,” Datuin added.

Similarly, Brigadier General Andres C Centino AFP, 401st Brigade Commander commended the marauder troopers for another accomplishment. “May this recent surrender of 10 members of NPA’s Militia ng Bayan to the government will serve as an example to the remaining NPA members especially of Guerilla Front 14 to follow suit in order to live in peace with their families. The NPA rebels are anti-people and destroying the future of your children and families while supporting the peace and development of the government will surely give your love ones a better future,” BGen Centino ended. 75IB CMO / MCAG
