DWDD: WEAKENING FORCE | NPA Regional Commander apprehended, 3 more surrenders in Iloilo

ILOILO CITY (DWDD) – Joint elements of the Crime Investigation and Detection Group 6 and 301st Infantry Brigade Intelligence Task Group apprehends a certain Salvador Hisuan (alias Kumander Pepe/Speed) Commander, Regional Sentro De Grabidad (RSDG) or the Regional Operations Command (ROC) of the NPA of Komiteng Rehiyon-Panay at Ledesma St., Iloilo City at about 5:45 pm, October 9, 2018 (Tuesday) by virtue of Warrant of Arrest for murder with the use of unlicensed firearm issued by Regional Trial Court, 6th Judicial Region, Branch 21, Mambusao, Capiz.



Hisuan was involved in the land mining of troops of 47th Infantry Battalion and Scout Rangers at Brgy Datagan, Calinog, Iloilo that resulted in 9 killed and 18 wounded soldiers, and killing of Captain Abelardo Motia of 12th Infantry Battalion who was gunned down during a fiesta in Dumarao, Capiz both in the year 2005.

As the Commander of ROC of the NPA, he was also responsible for the burning of equipment of those who did not give in to their extortion demands. The ROC is also responsible for the killing (SPARU) operations of the NPA.

Hisuan remains in the custody of the police.

Meanwhile, three NPA members of Strike Force of Sentro De Grabidad (SDG) of the NPA of Central Front, Komiteng Rehiyon-Panay surrender to 61st Infantry Battalion based in Camp Monteclaro, Brgy Igtuba, Miag-ao, Iloilo, about 12:10 pm, same day. They are identified as Marlon Castor Lozada alias Niko, 34 years old ; Jomar Camarig Depalubos alias PG, 29 years old both residents of Sitio Inuscan, Brgy Cahigon, Calinog, Iloilo and Pablito Lozada Depalubos alias Atlas, 49 years old and resident of Sitio Tinabasan, Brgy Buri, Tapaz, Capiz.

Said surrenderees will be processed for them to avail the Enhanced Comprehensive Local Integration Program (ECLIP) which includes the following benefits; P15, 000.00 immediate cash assistance; P50,000.00 livelihood assistance; P45,000 to P90,000.00 firearm remuneration depending on the type of firearm and access to other government assistance.
