CAMP LAPU LAPU, Cebu (DWDD) – The Philippine Navy thru Naval Forces Central hosts this year’s Maritime Training Activity (MTA) Seagull 08/18 that was formally opened yesterday, September 24, 2018, at Headquarters, Naval Forces Central.

Present during the opening ceremony is Commodore Loumer P Bernabe AFP as the Officer Conducting the Exercise (OCE) and Commander of NFC, Navy Captain Renato P David PN (GSC) as the Exercise Director, Commander of Naval Task Force 50 and the Deputy Commander of NFC.

With them are the Commanding Officers of the Navy vessels that will be used during the conduct of the exercises: Commander Gerry Garrido PN (BRP Andres Bonifacio, FF17) and Commander Mohd Azrin Bin Haji Mahmud RBN (KDB Daruttaqwa, DTQ09).

MTA Seagull is conducted every two (2) years since 2002, aiming to enhance capabilities and interoperability between the participating navies. NFC / MCAG
