From DWDD AFP Civil Relations Service Radio Website (Jun 15): EMPOWERED IPs | Manobo graduates from Mobile Computer Literacy Training
CARMEN, Surigao Del Sur (DWDD) – The Manobo tribe in Barangay Hinapoyan, Carmen, Surigao del Sur led by Datu Tanie Quillano – Municipal IPMR and Mickjun Quillano – Elected Sangguniang Kabataan Chairman, extends their sincere gratitude as 54 of their tribe member graduates Mobile Computer Literacy (MCL) Training last June 6, 2018.
The MCL Training is a one (1) month training launched in Carmen, Surigao Del Sur last May 03, 2018 supervised by TESDA, 36th Infantry “Valor” Battalion, Department of Education – Surigao Del Sur Division and the LGU of Carmen to provide basic computer education to IP Youth to include IP Out of School Youth in Carmen, Surigao del Sur utilizing the Army’s Mobile Computer Literacy Van, a fully air-conditioned 40 foot container van installed with 21 High Technology Computer Sets.
The MCL training was first launched last January 23, 2018 in San Miguel, SDS with a total of 152 IP Youth/Graduates in three (3) batches of the MCL Training.
