This is the final report on the monitored armed conflict between the Philippine Army and members of the New People’s Army in Mahaplag, Leyte that transpired on April 21, 2018.

1. Status of Affected Families / Persons

21 families or 74 persons were affected by the armed conflict in So. Cawayanan,
Barangay San Juan, Mahaplag, Leyte (see Table 1).

2. Status of Displaced Families/ Persons

A. Inside Evacuation Centers

10 families or 42 persons stayed in Brgy. Malinao Elementary School (see Table 2).

B. Outside Evacuation Centers

11 families or 32 persons are temporarily staying with families/friends (see Table 3).

3. Cost of Assistance

A total of ₱43,295.28 worth of assistance was provided to the affected families; ₱20,195.28 of which came from the Department of Social Welfare and Development while ₱23,100.00 came from the LGU of Mahaplag (see Table 4).
