From Rappler (Aug 3): AirAsia now an affiliate of Air Force Reserve Command
The Philippine Air Force and AirAsia Philippines on August 1 signed a Memorandum of Agreement to jointly cooperate and provide support during national crisis and for emergency, rescue, humanitarian, and medical missions, AirAsia said.
The event was attended by Air Force Commanding General Lieutenant General Edgar Fallorina and AirAsia Philippines CEO Captain Dexter Comendador.
AirAsia Philippines is now an affiliate of Air Force Reserve Command which means AirAsia pilots and staff may be tapped for humanitarian missions and services, including mounting special humanitarian flights for emergency and disaster management, the airline company said.
“The dynamic collaboration is another step forward in AirAsia’s commitment to the philosophy that no corporation can live apart from the community it serves,” Comendador said during the signing of agreement.
