From the Philippine News Agency (Sep 6): 72 NPA rebels have surrendered in Isabela since July

At least 72 members of the New People’s Army (NPA) have surrendered to the government under the Comprehensive Local Integration Program (CLIP) since July.

With the ongoing peace talks between the government and the Communist Party of the Philippines, more rebels are expected to surrender in the future, said Sgt. Clifford Soriano of the 5th Infantry Division (5ID), of the Philippine Army’s Civil Military Operations Battalion.

Soriano said the rebel returnees have been provided financial assistance to start a new life.

The 5ID, Philippine Army has been calling on rebels to surrender to authorities under the government’s integration program.
