225 recruits to undergo military training under 4th ID

From the Philippine News Agency (Jun 16): 225 recruits to undergo military training under 4th ID

Around 225 candidate soldiers, mostly from the Northern Mindanao and CARAGA Regions, will be undergoing military training under the Cagayan De Oro-based 4th Infantry Division.

Oath-taking of these recruits took place at Camp Evangelista, Patag, 2:00 p.m. Thursday, 4th Infantry Division spokesperson Capt. Joe Patrick Martinez said.

“From among the thousand young individuals who applied to become a soldier, I congratulate all of you (candidate soldiers), for passing the necessary requirements for military training," 4th Infantry Division commander Major Gen. Benjamin Madrigal said.

"This is the first step in joining the noble profession of arms. I also would like to thank all parents and loved ones of these brave young Filipinos for entrusting your sons under the care and supervision of the Armed Forces of the Philippines," he added.

After the ceremony, these 225 recruits were immediately deployed to the 4th Division Training School in Malaybalay City for their six-month military training.
